About

Hi!

I was originally born in the UK, but I moved to Ireland quite a while ago now.

I'm a content creator who tries to give you a 'peek behind the curtain', so to speak, at what it's like to start your own business - or your own YouTube channel!

My motivation for this is, before starting out myself, I wanted to find a vlog where someone would give weekly updates on what it's really like - for someone who isn't already wealthy, and doesn't have an existing audience / following.

But, that just... didn't seem to exist.

The YouTube algorithm would surface endless videos to me along the lines of "What I wish I knew when I first started", "Five things to do differently in 2025", and "How starting your own business can change your life".

Now, please don't get me wrong - I'm happy for established creators and their success. But I wouldn't really be interested in listening to Jeff Bezos giving me tips on making money. While he is self-made - if anything, his level of success just makes him seem 'different' in a way that's hard to explain. I can't relate to him, so advice from him - even if well-intentioned - wouldn't ring true to me.

Established content creators who were already rich when I first encountered them and formed my initial impressions of them run into the game problem.

At least for me.

So, I'm just some guy - and statistically speaking, I'm never going to 'make it'. But along the way as I try, I can at least report back to you each week with lessons I have learned, with challenges I have encountered, and with actionable advice that helps get you off of YouTube, and into launching your own career.

If you're interested in supporting me, for €5 / month I'll also give you an honest weekly deep-dive into my finances; the expenses I had, the income (if any!) - and this will be broken down into separate Google Sheets so that you can look at, say, only YouTube-related expenses and income if that's all you're interested in.

I want to make this content for you - because I wish someone made it for me.
